SUMMARY:URC Brown Bag Series: Trauma-Informed Practices for Library Services
DESCRIPTION:
This workshop will discuss trauma-informed practices (TIP) as they relate to our work in the library. Discussions will include basic principles of TIP, ways they can be implemented in our interactions with patrons and with each other, how we communicate about programs and services, and how we develop library policies with trauma-informed practices in mind. This workshop will focus on helping participants develop a toolbox of principles to apply in different contexts to create a better and more inclusive workplace. If you have policies or practices from your specific job that you want to workshop, please bring them to the session as there will be plenty of time for small and large group discussion.

	Presenters

Kai Fay is a Discovery & Access Strategic Projects Manager at Harvard Library.
